Welcome to the COMPASS Cost and Lifecycle Assessment Decision Support
System (DSS).
The COMPASS project focuses on developing parametric cost and
Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) models for key technology components,
including casing material, foam cementing solution, APB relief, and
flexible coupling. By integrating these models into a Decision Support
System, users can explore various solutions and make informed
decisions regarding COMPASS technology.
The modules in the COMPASS DSS: - Parametric Cost and LCA Evaluation Module: This
module enables users to assess the cost and environmental impacts of
COMPASS technology components. Users can evaluate the cost of well
completion per meter of drilling and analyze the environmental
footprint of COMPASS technology using a cradle-to-gate lifecycle
approach.
- Surface Plant Cost and LCA Analysis Module: Users can
calculate the specific investment cost per megawatt (MW) of installed
capacity for surface plants utilizing COMPASS technology.
Additionally, this module facilitates the development of LCA models
for surface plants, ensuring compliance with international standards.
